Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey on behalf of the Project Manager Soldier Weapons (PM SW), located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is issuing this RFI to survey the market for potential firms with the capabilities and interest in participating as a prime contractor to respond to a Request for Proposal to fulfill a proposal for Grenadier Sighting System (GSS) .
Desired design and performance characteristics for GSS are provided in the document "GSS AR-PD-176 12Oct2016", attached below.
Firms/companies are invited to indicate their production capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration videos, and other technical data as well as identification of current customers. Interested companies should submit the following business information:
• Company Name and Address
• Cage Code
• DUNs Number
• Company business size by NAIC code
• Small Business Type (s), if applicable
• Point of Contact for questions and/or clarification
• Point of contact telephone Number, fax number, and email address
• Web page URL
• Teaming partners (if applicable)
For each candidate GSS model provide:
• Brochures or other information relative to the performance, maintenance, and physical characteristics (e.g., size, weight, etc.) of the product
• Specifications and descriptions
• Environmental performance, if available, including
○ Shock sensitivity
○ Vibration sensitivity
○ Moisture sensitivity
○ Operating temperatures
○ Storage temperatures
○ Ambient temperature reliability/durability
○ Corrosive salt environment
○ Sand/dust environment
○ Water submergence
○ Etc.
• Whether the item is off-the-shelf ready, or in development
• Availability date of the GSS
• Cost of the GSS
• Any additional comments
Responses and/or questions to this synopsis will be posted through SAM.gov.
Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information, sample hardware or administrative costs incurred in the response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP or other solicitation (if any are issued).
This is a market survey, not a pre-solicitation notice. There is no formal solicitation available at this time. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a pre-solicitation notice will be published. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted.
