Post Award Synopsis

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, announces the award of Purchase Order 15B30626P00000074 under Solicitation 15B30626Q0000007 for Food Items (Subsistence). The contract has been awarded to The Smooth Sailing Group, LLC. for a total amount of $99,732.72. The procurement was conducted under NAICS 311991, utilizing a Firm‑Fixed Price contract structure.

This acquisition was solicited on an unrestricted basis, and all responsible sources were permitted to submit a quote. In accordance with FAR 4.1102, all offerors were required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award.

Award was made to the offeror whose quote represented the best value to the Government, considering price and past performance. The Government reserved the right to award by item, group, or in aggregate, and exercised this authority in determining the final awardee.

Performance under this contract is scheduled to begin on April 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026, at MDC Guaynabo, Highway 28, Intersection of Road 165, Guaynabo, PR 00965‑5700. Payments will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Government Purchase Card, as applicable.
