Print Bid Title: Internet Services and Wide Area Network Services Category: Economic Development Status: Closed Description: The City of Belfast has recently made information technology investments and improvements across a number of its facilities, including installation of a centralized Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system. It also plans to make further improvements in the near future, such as migrating to Microsoft Office 365, implementing a hosted file sharing service, and increased utilization of cloud-based applications. The City of Belfast is now interested in securing improved internet services and wide area network services for these and other facilities, and has issued this request for proposals in order to find a firm to provide these services. The request for proposals can be downloaded here, please see below under 'Related Documents.' Proposals must received by 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time, Friday, March 2nd, 2018 to be considered. Any and all questions regarding this request for proposals must be directed via e-mail or letter only to the following point of contact: Nora McGrath City of Belfast City Hall 131 Church Street Belfast, Maine 04915 Questions must be received by 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 to be answered. All questions submitted by this deadline will be answered and posted on the City of Belfast’s website at www.cityofbelfast.org/internetrfp by 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time on Friday, February 23rd, 2018. A firm may take a tour of the facilities that are relevant to this request, at any time during normal City of Belfast business hours, prior to the proposal submission deadline, by scheduling it by contacting the following point of contact via e-mail: Nora McGrath City of Belfast A firm is not required to take a tour in order to submit a proposal. The choice to participate or to not participate in a tour will not affect the evaluation of a firm’s proposal. UPDATES: 2/23/2018: new version of the request for proposals has been uploaded; changes include the following: 1) change made to request for proposals - addition of section 2.1.5; 2) change made to inventory of facilities - regarding minimum desired speed (estimated) for Harbor Master's Office; 3) change made to inventory of facilities - removed "Services Desired" column; all wireless internet equipment to generate a signal within a facility will be provided by the City's information technology consultant, BizCompass; and 4) change made to inventory of facilities - added additional information to Notes column for Harbor Master's Office. Also questions and answers have been posted (we apologize that we did not have them up by 3:00 PM). 2/14/2018: new version of the request for proposals has been uploaded; changes include the following: 1) the deadline for questions to be submitted is now 3:00pm eastern standard time on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018; 2) the deadline for responses to questions to be posted is now 3:00pm eastern standard time on Friday, February 23rd, 2018; 3) the public works current facility has been added to the inventory (8.1.); 4) additional information regarding the transfer station has been added to the inventory (8.1.); and 5) an additional category has been added to the inventory (8.1.) regarding which services are desired for each facility – wired and/or wireless. 2/3/2018: new version of the request for proposals has been uploaded; this involves minor changes only to the inventory portion of the request (8.1.)
