Description

This USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) has a requirement for a contractor to perform tree removal, bucking, disposal, transportation, and loading services. The predominant purpose for these services is to acquire Emerald Ash Borer Beetles (EAB) from harvested infested trees to maintain EAB biological control production.

Services involve, but are not limited to, tree removal, disposal, transportation, bucking, loading, and stacking services. The Government will be responsible for marking trees for removal. Trees shall be harvested and then transported to Government facilities in Howell, MI and Brighton, MI. Great care will be taken to keep the bark on the trees intact throughout the harvesting and storage process.

The contractor must maintain crews at sufficient levels to support the harvest schedule.
