Print Bid Title: KIB SW Collection Recycling Services RFP Category: Professional Services Status: Closed Description: **The revised documents added today, January 8th, 2019 supersede previous documents.** The KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH will receive sealed bids until 3:00 p.m. (local time), February 22, 2019, for the Residential and Commercial Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Services Contract . The Kodiak Island Borough (KIB) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide solid waste collection and recycling services after the expiration of the Borough’s existing collection contract. All work to be performed is as described in the Scope of Work and includes providing labor, equipment, and materials required to provide residential and commercial solid waste collection and recycling services within the boundaries of the KIB where Customer’s premises can be served by roads. This contract commences from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2027 with the option to extend, upon satisfactory performance, determined solely by the Borough Manager, for up to three (3) additional years upon the offering of the Borough Manager or designee. If the Borough makes such an offer, the Contractor will have no more than thirty (30) days to accept or refuse the offer. Equal employment opportunity requirements prevail. The KIB reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding, and to give particular attention to the qualifications of the Respondent. The attention of Respondents is directed to the applicable Federal and State requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference in the Kodiak Island Borough Main Office Building Conference Room 121, 710 Mill Bay Road, Kodiak, Alaska, on Friday, November 16, 2018 starting at 1:00 p.m. (local time). All potential bidders are required to attend this conference . All firms requesting a bid package are required to register through the KIB website.
