Description
The United States Wildland Fire Service (USWFS), at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) intends to award a purchase order for telecommunications services to furnish all circuits, bandwidth, connectivity, and related services necessary to provide reliable Internet and voice communication capabilities that support NIFC’s mission-critical fire operations.
The work shall be seamlessly compatible with the existing campus-wide telecommunications infrastructure and related services to support USWFS conducted in support of operations directed out of the NIFC campus.
Since USWFS’s initial market research indicates and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 that only one responsible source can fully provide the services that will satisfy the Agency’s requirements, a Determination to Solicit from a Single Source justification is being prepared.
The Government anticipates award on or before April 15, 2026 with services to begin immediately upon award to ensure the telecommunications services are updated to alleviate disruption of services. Vendors that have questions regarding the sole source nature of the requirement or vendors that believe they can fully provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Specialist no later than April 14, 2026.
All responsible sources may submit a capability statement in with convincing evidence they can furnish the requested service, and if possible, a brief price breakout of services for comparison the Independent Government Estimate (IGE). Vendors should also describe their capability to provide telecommunications services stated above since this will be a requirement during performance. All responses received will be used for market research purposes and evaluated if capable of providing the subject service. All responses should include the vendor’s Unique Entity Identifier Number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Vendors should additionally identify themselves as either a small business or any other than small business under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 517111. The applicable Small Business Size Standard is 1500 Emp.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of conducting market research and determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
