2. Synopsis
This is a Sources Sought Notice issued solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. This notice is issued in accordance with FAR Part 10 – Market Research to identify potential qualified small business sources capable of providing preventive maintenance, calibration, certification, and limited repair services for Textile Material Evaluation Team (TMET) equipment at the DEVCOM Soldier Center, Natick, Massachusetts.
No contract will be awarded from this notice. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred in responding.
3. Requirement Description
The Government seeks contractors capable of providing preventive maintenance services, calibration and certification services, limited repair services, and technical reporting/documentation to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with manufacturer, ISO, and Army standards.
4. Scope of Work (Summary)
The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, and management necessary to perform:
- Monthly preventive maintenance
- Semi-annual and annual calibration (traceable to NIST standards)
- Response to service calls within 48 hours (business days)
- Use of OEM or Government-approved equivalent parts
- Compliance with ISO and Army regulatory requirements

6. Deliverables
Service reports within 10 calendar days including:
- Certificate of Calibration
- Description of services performed
- Parts replaced
- Findings and recommendations
- Technician name and qualifications
7. Period of Performance
Base Period: 12 months
Option Periods: Four (4) additional 12-month periods
8. Security Requirements
Contractor shall comply with installation access requirements and FAR 52.204-9. No network access will be provided.
