TOWN OF SANDWICH INVITATION FOR BIDS Street Sweeping bid packets may be obtained Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning on Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Department of Public Works, 500 Route 130, Sandwich, MA 02563-2342. Bids may be withdrawn in writing prior to the bid-opening deadline. The Bid may be withdrawn after it has been opened only if a mistake is clearly evident on the face of the document, but the intended correct answer is not evident. A sealed bid in an envelope plainly marked “Street Sweeping & Trucking” in the lower left corner will be received at the Department of Public Works, 500 Route 130, Sandwich, MA 02563-2342 on or before Monday, March 30, 2026 until 10:00 a.m., at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. Prices shall be firm for the period beginning March 31, 2026 through December 31, 2026. The Town of Sandwich reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor informalities. The bids will be evaluated on the responsiveness and responsibility of the bidder who submits the lowest price. If an award is made, it will be within thirty (30) days after the receipt of sealed bids. If, at the time of the scheduled bid opening, the Department of Public Works is closed due to inclement weather, or other unforeseeable event, the bid opening will be postponed until 2:00 p.m. the next normal business day.
