Description

The Indian Health Service (IHS) Four Corner Regional Health Center, located in Red Mesa, Arizona, intends to restrict competition and negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract with Medtox Diagnostics Inc (UEI EWN2M7QF4BM5). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 621511 – Medical Laboratories, with a small business size standard of $41.5 million.

In accordance with RFO 12.102(a), for acquisitions valued at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold using simplified procedures for commercial products and services, the Contracting Officer may solicit from one source if the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

Medtox Diagnostics Inc is the only source capable of providing miscellaneous Medtox testing supplies. Medtox Diagnostics Inc has various urine, drug screening, etc. testing supplies to be ordered on an as needed basis for an integral part to multiple triage scenarios, including mentally altered patients, and prenatal screening for patient care services testing at the facility. The contract will have a base year and four option years. The anticipated period of performance is from February 02, 2026 to February 01,2027.

This notice of intent is not a request for quotations or proposals, and a competitive solicitation will not be issued. Vendors who believe they can provide the described services may submit a capability statement to the point of contact below. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses shall be submitted via email no later than 12pm MST, Monday January 19, 2026.
