Description

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Lome Togo will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available.

This solicitation is for the provision of Health Insurance Service for the Locally Employed (LE) Staff at the US Embassy in Lome, Togo under the GMC (Global Medical Coverage). The Contractor shall provide health insurance coverage services to employees of the Government of the United States of America in Lome, Togo and their eligible dependents in accordance with the benefit levels listed in the solicitation document. The estimated number of employees is 200 with approximately 500 eligible dependents. Please note that these are only estimated quantities for the purpose of this advance notice.

The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered.

The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract.  

The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.

All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
