THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
The Department of Health and Human Services intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), Contracting Officers may solicit from only one source if the circumstances deem only one source is reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization).
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, and the Product Service Code (PSC) is J066 - Maintenance, Repair and Rebuilding of Equipment: Instruments and Laboratory Equipment.
The purpose of this sole source award is to obtain manufacturer-authorized maintenance and technical support services for the Agilent 6495C Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer. A determination by the Government not to complete this procurement based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in the response to this notice. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
