Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is a US Department of Energy (DOE) science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. ORNL is managed and operated by UT-Battelle, LLC (Company). ORNL's diverse capabilities span a broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines, enabling the Laboratory to explore fundamental science challenges and to carry out the research needed to accelerate the delivery of solutions to the marketplace.
The Company is issuing this Request For Information (RFI) to seek input from interested parties regarding their ability to provide turnkey or selected specialty expertise and resources supporting the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) Reactor Pressure Vessel removal, packaging, and disposal of the project's radioactive and mixed wastes, as outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW).
Any questions regarding any portion of this RFI must be coordinated through the Company's Procurement Officer, identified in the SOW and as Company's Primary Point of Contact in this Opportunity posting. Questions concerning this RFI must be submitted in writing, via email, by February 27, 2026, to the Procurement Officer . Information given to one respondent will be furnished to all respondents if a lack of the information would be prejudicial to them.
