The United States (U.S.) Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC), HMIF program located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, is issuing this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) as a means of conducting Market Research to identify potential sources for technologies, both software and hardware, to enable modular and multi-mission configurable supervised autonomous armament packages for integration onto man or unmanned platforms.
Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions.
Candidate technologies could include, but are not limited to:
- Concepts to inform Assured Armaments Reference Architecture (AARA), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) for supervised autonomous armaments
- Common internal and external interfaces for integrated armaments systems
- Common hardware, software, and electrical interface systems for mounting and integration
- Safety assured control hardware and software for Wired or Wireless supervised autonomous armaments systems.
- MIL-STD-882 E compliance
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) autonomy enabling technologies and safeguards, to include technologies from other sectors that could be applied to armament packages and/or vehicle platforms.
- Reduction in manual user input or cognitive load
- Improved visualizations
- Auto Generated or Dynamic keep out zones
- Target tracking and prioritization
- Implementation of tactical tasks and behaviors
- Integration of Aided Target Recognition (AiTR) into weapons station controls architecture. Identification and cue of known/suspected threats for operator. Real-time object detection and classification from all available data sources.
Interested businesses shall submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than ten 8.5 X 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 10 point) demonstrating their technology and the current Technology Readiness Level (TRL)/Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL). If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations shall address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements.
Your response to this Sources Sought, including any capabilities statement, shall be electronically submitted to the Contract Specialist, Kadeem Edwards, in either Microsoft Word or Portable Document Format (PDF), via email kadeem.a.edwards.civ@army.mil no later than 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on 9 March 2026 and reference this synopsis number in subject line of e-mail and on all enclosed documents.
