Print Bid Title: Request For Proposals: Recycled Rides Building Murals Category: Current Bids & RFPs Status: Open Description: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS 1. Purpose The Wayne Public Art Committee ("Committee") is seeking proposals from qualified artists to provide murals on seven (7) medium density fiberboard panels of varying sizes for the Recycled Rides building, located at 113 S. Main Street in Wayne, Nebraska. The mural series should be "Bike Across Nebraska" themed. The specific sizes of each panel are outlined in Section 3. The Committee intends to enter into a professional services agreement with a provider (hereinafter "Artist") to produce the art by July 3, 2026. 2. Agreement Duration The term of the agreement shall commence upon both parties signing and end once the completed panels are delivered and/or on July 3, 2026, whichever date happens first. 3. Scope of Services Proposals should address: How the Artist plans to articulate the Bike Across Nebraska theme on the 7 panels, including color scheme and imagery. The type and color of paint that shall be used. Where the Artist plans to paint the panels and how they will be transported to/from the installation site. The sizes of each panel are as follows: (1) 83" wide x 93" tall (1) 41" wide x 108" tall (2) 81" wide x 95" tall (1) 39" wide x 82" tall (1) 35" wide x 83" tall (1) 27" wide x 50" tall 4. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Financial Responsibilities: Committee shall pay the Artist $1,500.00 upon delivery of all panels. Artist is responsible for purchasing the paint. Committee is responsible for purchasing the 7 medium density fiberboard panels and final clear coat. Materials will be provided to Artist once the agreement is signed. Reporting: Artist shall provide regular progress reports on the status of the project to the Committee throughout the duration of the agreement. 5. Proposal Evaluation Proposals received by the deadline of May 29, 2026 will be reviewed in a timely manner to ensure the Committee can consider approving an agreement by June 5, 2026. Proposals will be evaluated on meeting the scope of services outlined and the terms of the proposal. 6. Proposal Submission Interested artists should submit a formal proposal detailing their experience, plan, and ability to meet the requirements outlined above no later than Friday, May 29, 2026.
