Description
This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Invitation for Bid (IFB) related to the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest (DSW) Region, Mead Substation Sewer Line Remediation in Clark County, Nevada. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237110, Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction with a size standard of $45 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB and prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated to be between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Place of performance will be in Clark County, Nevada 89005.
This construction project consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, material, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation and equipment necessary for:
Sewer Remediation/Replacement
- Provide alternate restroom facilities during construction.
- Locate all existing underground utilities and existing ground grid prior to excavation with ground penetrating radar. Ground grid shall be uncovered by hand digging where excavation will take place.
- Clean, descale, and flush the existing 4” cast iron building drain. This item includes the horizontal mainline only. The drain is approximately 85’ long.
- Install a NU Flow NU Drain Cured in Place Pipe Liner, or approved equal, in the existing 4” cast iron building drain. The drain is approximately 85’ long.
- Install 4” SDR 35 PVC or SCH 40 ABS sewer line utilizing pipe bursting technology. The sewer line is approximately 409’ long.
- Remove and replace an existing 2-way sewer clean-out.
- Remove and replace four existing 1-way sewer clean-outs.
- Leak test sewer line replacement per I.P.C. Section 312 and 312.6.
