Response: VHA is unable to respond to the question due to the age of the windows. Would chain-operated manual window treatments (clutch system) be considered acceptable, provided they meet all anti-ligature and safety requirements outlined in the solicitation? Response: No. VHA prefers a cordless option. we would like to respectfully request the possibility of conducting an on-site visit to Building 148? Response: Site Visit is scheduled for 03/12/2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Vendors report to Bldg 36 Security Office. POC: Lawson Dyson 757-951-5384 The scope says that the contractor should conduct an onsite review and field measure of all windows for a custom fit prior to any materials being ordered and fabrication. - Does this mean that we can do a walkthrough, or should we expect a site visit date to be announced soon? Response A: Site Visit is scheduled for 03/12/2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Vendors report to Bldg 36 Security Office. Response B: After award, the expectation is that the vendor would also do a site evaluation to ensure accuracy. Clause: 36.523 Site visit. The contracting officer shall insert a provision substantially the same as the provision at 52.236-27, Site Visit (Construction), in solicitations which include the clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work.
