Description
This is a "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" only. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The Montrose VA Medical Center, 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose New York 10548, has a requirement for construction services. Project Numbers 620-20-105 Renovate Bldg. 14AB and 620-23-206 Renovate Bldg. 14 CD. The main project area includes the demolition and renovation of the Montrose VAMC Building 14 2nd floor (AB) and 3rd floor (CD) totaling approximately 33,900 square feet. The ground floor shall be assumed to be occupied during construction by administrative staff and is not a patient care area. The approximately 33,900-square foot renovation shall include a minimum of: 14AB: The 17,300 square foot, full gut renovation will include complete demolition and removal off the VA premises of all debris rendered from taking down walls, removing electrical appurtenances including distribution panels and all associated wiring, removing defunct HVAC equipment from attic and pipe basement, and all other items as designated in the contract documents. This includes asbestos and lead abatement as outlined in contract documents. The floor slab, once exposed, shall be inspected and sounded for cracks and cavities, which shall be filled in and fixed, and the floor slab re-leveled prior to installing any new construction. Two new exit stairwells shall be erected for life safety egress compliance. Then the full and complete installation of the floor shall be completed by the contractor, to include, but not be limited to the installation of various wall, floor and ceiling systems; brand new HVAC units to be cut into the attic interstitial space, including chillers, exhaust recovery ventilator (ERV), dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS), and four-pipe vertical recessed FCUs under every window, general exhaust and toilet exhaust systems; brand new electrical and telecommunication equipment and distribution; sprinkler and fire alarm systems; plumbing piping and fixtures, and all other items as shown in contract documents.
