Description

1. STATEMENT OF WORK
The contractor shall furnish all requisite services, labor, travel, transportation, materials, shipping,
parts, connections, and equipment for the provision and on-site installation of a minimum of three
vaporized hydrogen peroxide Low Temperature Sterilizers. These units are to be located at 4801
Linwood Blvd, Kansas City MO 64128. These low temperature sterilizers are essential for the Sterile
Processing Service (SPS) in reprocessing reusable medical devices (RMDs) employed in invasive
procedures. needed to support Sterile Processing Service (SPS) for reprocessing reuseable medical
devices (RMD) used in invasive procedures. Furthermore, these units are critical for supporting
medical procedures and surgeries and surgeries conducted within the Operating Room, as well as
in various ancillary clinics throughout the KCVA.
The contractor shall additionally furnish training to clinical personnel prior to the utilization of the
equipment. This training is to encompass all tours of duty for the sterile processing department and
necessitate annual retraining on all associated on all associated equipment. Moreover, the
contractor bears the responsibility for the removal and disposal of all debris and packaging
material resulting from the installation of the VPRO MaX2 Low Temp Sterilizers.
2. SPECIFICATIONS
• Three low temperature sterilizers shall have a minimum individual dimensions of Cabinet
(DD): 33 x 40-15/16 x 72” (838 x 1040 x 1829 mm) with Recessed/Cabinet (SD): 33 x
38-5/16 x 72” (838 x 973 x 1829 mm).
o Mounting single door, cabinet
o System installation requires no plumbing, ventilation or air
o supply – only a dedicated electrical connection is needed. A power cord is supplied
for this connection
o The facility space in which the vehicle can occupy is approx. 35’ x 110’.
• Vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes are particularly suited for sterilizing
heat- sensitive materials because temperatures within the load currently do not exceed
55ºC (131ºF) and sterilization occurs in a low-moisture environment. Heat tolerant devices

and materials can also be indicated for vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes.
FDA-cleared vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, either with or without plasma, are
currently available in the United States.
 Per ANSI/AAMI ST58:2013 or subsequent, the sterilizer shall be installed and operated in
an area with a ventilation system capable of at least 10 air exchanges per hour.
 VPRO MaX2 must support utility requirements:
o Current 16 AMP
o Minimum Circuit Breaker 20 AMPS
o Use NEMA L15-20R Plug
o Provide grouped or ganged circuit protection and disconnect for phase 3 power as
required by NEC and local codes.
o Individual power shutoffs near each machine for servicing.
 Shall integrate with the CensiTrac Instrument Tracking System.
