Description
MSHA currently utilizes numerous Industrial Scientific MX6 gas detectors during mine emergencies. Due to the unpredictability of mine fires, explosions, and gas inundations, it is imperative to always keep all gas detection equipment ready for immediate use. Reliable instrumentation is mandatory for either making decisions during mine emergencies or making recommendations to district managers after an investigation.
MX6 detect oxygen, toxic gases, combustible gases. Without the MX6 Gas Monitor's, the inspectors will not be able to measure the toxics that cause fatal health issues if the gases surpass the alarmed threshold and will not be permitted into the mines without the detectors.
