Description
Description proposed work. This project is to demolish 2 brick buildings, designated as B149 and B150. Both buildings have experienced a complete roof collapse causing substantial damage to the supporting walls. The extent of the damage renders the buildings irreparable, necessitating complete demolition of roof structure, and exterior supporting walls. Building 149 is located in a large courtyard surrounded by other structures and connecting corridors, which necessitates additional access and demolition considerations. The contractor shall complete the requirements described in this scope of work, drawings and specifications within 120 calendar days after the notice to proceed. Maintaining the operational capability of the medical center is paramount and the contractor shall coordinate all activity schedules with the COR prior to execution and two (2) weeks in advance. Work during this project shall be conducted during normal business hours and/or after hours/weekends according to the nature of the work. Normal business hours are defined as 7:00AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday. Tentative dates for issuing invitation. The VA plans to issue the solicitation on or about 6 February 2026. Will plans be available for inspection without charge? The solicitation and all appliable information, drawings and specifications will be published electronically at no cost.
