Description

Remove and replace the existing HVAC system. Install a new in-duct mounted smoke detector and a roof curb for the package unit, Model: CARRIER 50TC-D16A2A5A0A0A0, Serial: 1116P04456. Fabricate and install all new ducts and a new equivalent package HVAC unit on the roof. The work will include all labor, materials, and equipment needed to manufacture and install fiberglass ducts extending 2 to 4 feet from the bottom side of the unit into the building. This work also includes professional rigging and any incidental tasks. The HVAC contractor will provide electrical reconnections to the existing building electrical system in accordance with the electrical code. General • All work will be scheduled and coordinated with the WASD HVAC Supervisor. • All work will be inspected and approved by the WASD HVAC Supervisor. • Work area and facility must always remain clean and dust-free. • HVAC Contractor must provide Lock-out/Tag-out certification. • Electrical connections will be inspected and approved by the General Maintenance electrical staff. (If necessary.) Removal • Remove existing HVAC CARRIER package unit and roof curb. • Remove all existing sheet metal ducts. o Obtain measurements for the new replacement ducts. Installation • Install a new equivalent HVAC CARRIER package unit and roof curb. • Fabricate and install new fiberglass ducts. o All fasteners, Unistrut’s, clamps, bolts, nuts, washers, hardware, etc. must be stainless steel. Please, NO SUBSTITUTIONS. • HVAC Contractor will provide electrical reconnections as per the electrical code to the existing building electrical system. Working Hours: All working hours will be coordinated with the HVAC Supervisor and will be performed in the evenings and ALL DAY on weekends. Days/Hours: – Friday 3:00 pm 9:00 pm Weekend: HOURS, 7: 00 am to 9:00 pm Warranty - Provided By Contractor: All Materials and Workmanship shall have a ONE-Year Warranty UPON final payment to include all materials, parts, equipment, incidentals, and labor related to the Awarded Project. Other Conditions: WASD strongly recommends that Contractors attend the scheduled Pre-Bid meeting. All Work must abide by the requirements of Contract # 7360 and applicable rules and regulations. The quoted price must include all items listed in the Scope of Work. The awarded contractor must provide a project schedule before commencement. The final invoice must be submitted upon completion to process the final payment. Special instructions: Work will be thoroughly planned and scheduled to prevent delays, downtime, and complications. Due to office personnel in the building, the awarded contractor will need to work in sections as follows: • The change-out day for the package unit shall be on the weekend. • Duct work will be done on weeknights and weekends. • Once work starts, it must flow continuously until completed.
