Description
BUSINESSES. The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Jackson, MS has a requirement titled "Site Prep Interventional Radiology (IR) Upgrade” for project number 586-25-101. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). At least 15 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel shall be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other eligible SDVOSB concerns.
A Firm-Fixed Price construction contract award is anticipated. This will be a Design-Build opportunity. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, expertise, administration, transportation and supervision necessary to renovate approximately 1,590 square feet of existing Radiology Department space to support a new Philips IR machine and a new Philips CT machine, control room and adjacent support spaces. The 1,590 SF are rooms F20, F21, F22, B14D, B14C, F25A F-25, a small section B14, F24, F23A, F23, and 79 sf room with no room number. It also includes the total renovation of 1,205 square feet of vacated IR space to accommodate displaced Radiology administrative services. This area consists of rooms E5B, GA, E5, E5A, E6, and E7. Lastly it includes the disassembling, packing and shipping of the IR and CT equipment which has exceeded its service life. All construction work must adhere to the latest JCAHO, NFPA, ICARA, OSHA and life safety requirements. All construction work must be performed without affecting medical centers’ operations. Work includes construction labor and supervision for mechanical, structural, electrical, demolition and plumbing work as well as other disciplines as required by government provided construction plans and specifications. The period of performance will be 450 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
Solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings, will be available electronically on or about January 30, 2026 on this website. Hard copies will not be mailed. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). INTERESTED PARTIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF ACTIONS INCLUDING POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS. ADDITIONALLY, OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS TO THE SOLICITATION NOTICE.
A 90-day proposal acceptance period will be required. A bid bond must be submitted with the proposal. Performance and Payment bonds will be required from the contractor receiving the award. The magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $45 million in average annual receipts for the past three (3) years.
