Description

ADDENDUM #4 1/23/2026

RFI #3

  • A predefined recurring pickup schedule (e.g., daily, weekly, or bi-weekly), or
  • A demand-based pickup schedule initiated exclusively as required by ALTESS?

Answer:

  1. This information is located in para 4.1.2 of the PWS (Transportation Services/Media Management shall Include)

              Pick-up and delivery shall include:
Transportation of 92 LTO media per week
                       i. Trans Handling-Transport six (6) each
ii. Trans Transport Double Inset Multimedia twenty-two (22) ea.

END

ADDENDUM #3 1/12/2026

Submission of Reps and Certs as a separate attachment, excluded from the proposal page count is acceptable.

RFI #2

1. When job is awarded will the contactor collect all 1200 LTO Tapes in the beginning of the contact or does the contactor collect that maximum amount through out the year.

          (a) I’m a little confused with the 1200 LTO tapes.  We would only be vaulting a total of 240 LTO tapes as outlined in PWS Para 4.1.1.  I will send a copy of the current PWS to make sure you have the most up-to-date copy.

2. It states delivery and pick up of 25 LTO tapes a week. Is that one scheduled trip a week or as needed?

          (a) Our back-up team would work with the vendor to lay out how many tapes would be moved each week.  As outlined in the PWS, the vendor would continue to pick up 92 LTO tapes (once) per week (PWS, para 4.1.2).

END

ADDENDUM #2 1/8/2026

An updated Combined Synopsis has been posted.

END

ADDENDUM #1 1/6/2026

RFI #1

1. Is the Vendor supplying unsecure tape storage or just the equipment for the government to do it?

a.Vendor will be providing offsite tape storage for LTO tapes as outline in para 4.1 of the PWS.  All containers and transportation will be done by the vendor.

2. Off-site – Do you have a cap on how far from (EDC) our storage facility is?

       a. PWS Para 4.1.2 outlines “delivery to-an-from ALTESS, Radford Army Arsenal, Radford, VA.
       b. Within four (4) hours/two-hundred-fifty (250) miles of facility.

3. (Critical Special Mission Emergency Services) does that pertain to our call center and how fast we can pick up or deliver said tape storage?

       a. Critical Special Mission Emergency Services provide urgent, non-scheduled pickup or delivery of vital media (like tapes, documents) within a tight timeframe (typically 3 hours) when regular routes aren't fast enough, ensuring business continuity for sensitive data and critical operations, especially for government and highly regulated clients needing immediate, secure asset movement What type of tape is the contact referring too? LTO Tape Cartridge/Single Tape Drive/Tape Library.

This is service requested by the government to the vendor via direct line/portal or associated service access point for emergency services if LTO tapes need to be moved outside of the normal cycle or in the event of any type of manmade or natural disasters affecting the data center.

4. Do we have an estimated quantity of tapes or a desirable SF needed for the job.

       a. PWS para 4.1. and 4.1.2 outlines the number of tapes that will be transported and stored at the offsite facility.
