Description

The Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is accepting proposals for a complete, turnkey recreation software platform that can support the operations through a single, centralized system. The solution must be capable of processing camping reservations, facility reservations, event registrations, program registrations and point of sale, supporting year-round use by administrative staff, seasonal staff working at multiple locations, and the general public through a modern, customer-friendly online portal. The department estimates $1.5 million annually in transactions, and system reliability, capability, performance, ease of use, and transparency of costs are critical for the operations. Solutions should: • Support intuitive and user-friendly online reservations, registrations, memberships, and point-of-sale transactions from customers’ phones. • Provide clear separation of County-paid costs and customer-facing fees, should they exist. • Are designed for public-sector use with a proven track record of success. • Offer strong implementation support, training, and ongoing updates and support. The County’s current software contract expires on November 3, 2026, and we desire to have a potential new system implemented and live on or before that date. Limited active data will be migrated from our existing system. The Request for Proposal is available from the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department Office, 518 South 7th Avenue, Room 085, Wausau, WI 54401 or email parkforestry@marathoncounty.gov for a copy to be emailed. Questions about the RFP should be directed in writing to Marcus Aumann no later than 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 at Marcus.Aumann@marathoncounty.gov. Proposals must be submitted electronically to the Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, C/O Marcus.Aumann@marathoncounty.gov, by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026.

FAQ

How do I use the Market Snapshot?

It summarizes awarded-contract behavior for the opportunity’s NAICS and sector, including a recent pricing band (P10–P90), momentum, and composition. Use it as context, not a guarantee.

Is the data live?

The signal updates as new awarded notices enter the system. Always validate the official award and solicitation details on SAM.gov.

What do P10 and P90 mean?

P10 is the 10th percentile award size and P90 is the 90th percentile. Together they describe the typical spread of award values.
