Description

Work is to be performed at the Scottsville Water Resource Recovery Facility (SWRRF) located in Scottsville, Virginia, Albemarle County.Summary of work: Provide and install one (1) aerated grit equipment, one (1) alkalinity chemical feed system installed inside a prefabricated building, one (1) influent slide gate and associated electrical installation. In general, the work includes site preparation and restoration; selective demolition; installation of one aerated grit equipment, with new baffle, new aeration header piping, new aeration diffusers, new anchorage and supports and electrical; installation of an alkalinity chemical feed system with chemical tank, secondary containment, chemical feed pump in a pre-fabricated building to provide chemical to the influent splitter box; installation of an influent slide gate at the headworks structure which includes structure modifications, grating, ultrasonic level transducer and electrical; provide bulkheads and bypass pumping as required to keep the SWRRF in service while the headworks structure is out of service for installation of the grit equipment and influent slide gate.The project duration is 12-months.A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST.
