Description
The PPEA unsolicited proposal is for the rehabilitation of the Town of Orange Water Treatment Plant filter system. The proposed project will replace aged granular filter media, repair or retrofit underdrains, and make targeted improvements to the structural and process systems associated with the filtration units. In addition to the proposed scope of work noted in Section 3 of the unsolicited proposal, the selected contractor shall perform chlorination disinfection of each filter unit and be responsible for ensuring bacteriological testing of the filtersâincluding sampling, transport, and ensuring test results meet or exceed Virginia Department of Health â Office of Drinking Water standardsâonce they are renovated by the Contractor and approved for being placed in service.
