EACH BIDER MUST SUBMIT THE SIGNED ATTATCHED SOW DOCUMENT with their bid to ensure compliance and agreement. PLEASE INCLUDE your business location, and cost for one battery (although these will be purchased on an as-needed basis) I. PURPOSE: The VDEM Flood Intelligence Unit operates stream and rain gauge stations across the Commonwealth of Virginia. These stations rely on sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries, with the most common sizes being 12V, 12Ah and 12V, 35Ah. VDEM seeks one or more vendor(s) that can supply new SLA batteries and provide rapid same day or next day pickup/exchange services—on an as needed basis—as batteries fail, are deemed defunct, or qualify for refurbishment.II. Scope of WorkThe selected vendor(s) shall provide:A. Battery Supply (Primary Requirement)o New sealed lead acid batteries meeting VDEM technical requirements (Section 4).o Common sizes: 12V, 12Ah and 12V, 35Ah.o Additional related sizes/components on request B. Fulfillment & Logisticso Same day or next day fulfillment for pickup/exchange within vendor’s stated service area(s) across Virginia o Options for in store pickup, will call, and local delivery where available.C. Exchange/Refurbishment Programo Accept returns of failed/defunct batteries for core credit, exchange, or refurbishment where feasible o Provide testing and evaluation to determine refurbish ability, with traceable results.D.
