Description

STURGEON RESEARCH BOAT REPLACEMENT ODFW's White Sturgeon Program is replacing their work boat. ODFW is seeking to purchase one (1) Welded Aluminum Workboat with outboard engines, and trailer for monitoring of White Sturgeon in the Columbia River. Hull 26ft. Deep V bottom Planing chine or equivalent Semi-rounded bow equivalent for stability. Hull must have a semi-rounded bow to increase work area with sides rising higher in the bow than stern. Design should reduce side-to-side roll while drifting. Rib and side stiffeners can be added if needed. Boat Hydraulics - Powered with engine and pump sufficient to run pot hauler and gill net drum two control stations; one just forward of dive door on port side and one at forward console on starboard side Engine will have electric start and be mounted to facilitate oil changing and servicing (location not specified). Gill net drum - Centered over back half of live well leaving access to front half of live well. Removable with no fasteners above deck (deck must be flush with no protrusions when drum is not installed) Dimensions (or near equivalent): 52-inch x 24-inch x 19-inch gear box drive Davit and Pot Hauler - Fabricate, install and test heavy-duty custom cargo davit integrated with custom mounting bracket for a 12-inch Kolstrand hydraulic pot hauler or equivalent (supplied by builder) centered 37-inch above the deck. Davit mounted using deep socket and side hull brace mounted as flush as possible to the gunwale. Swivel davit fabricated with sturdy locking mechanism designed into it. Davit rises 64-inch above deck with a 58-inch arm containing three attachment points for customer supplied snatch block Removable bow horns with three live-rollers Livewell - Self-filling and self-bailing with a 3-inch fill/drain plug. Livewell will be located inside the deck, centered and forward of the cabin. Lid will lay flush with deck but will be larger resulting in a 3-inch overlap onto deck. Lid will consist of two halves with no hinges, and recessed handles.
