BID#2026-17 McBrod Roof Replacement roof INVITATION TO BID #2026-17 McBrod Roof Replacement Project (“BID”) RESPONSE TO CLARIFYING QUESTIONS #2 April 9, 2026 Note that these are questions submitted by interested firms to the above referenced solicitation. The below answers are for clarification purposes only and in no way alter or amend the BID as published. 1. Would It says 1/4" HD cover board with 2.5 R-Value, do you mean 1/2" HD cover board ANSWER: Yes, we need 1⁄2” HD cover board. 2. Are the vent to be re-used? ANSWER: Replace vents. 3. Do you have a plan for the Fall anchors system, or already have a system made by Guardian. ANSWER: Guardian is our selected vendor. It will be your responsibility to reach out to Guardian directly and to incorporate their design into this project. This design cost and anchoring system will need to be factored into your installation. 4. Where are the load areas, and times ANSWER: Load times are preferably made in the morning and coordinated the day before. Cone off designated area as needed. The load area is currently on the westside in middle. These details will be revisited during the preconstruction meeting. 5. This is one building, the specs says both buildings ANSWER: Correct, this is for the 9000 SE McBrod Building only. 6. The HVAC/Mechanical, and skylights are lower than manufactures suggest, are we leaving them at existing heights? ANSWER: Yes, the existing heights will remain the same. 7. Under Examination it states-C. Examine roof substrate to verify that it is properly sloped to drains and will not create ponding. - The whole roof ponds water do you want a complete taper system? ANSWER: No, we do not want a complete taper system. 8. The interior walls do not have metal on them. Do we just go up and over? ANSWER: Yes, go up and over. 9. The spec's seam to say to replace all vents is that correct? ANSWER: Yes, replace all vents. 10. Are we reusing Existing drain bodies? ANSWER: If they are serviceable, we will reuse them. Replacing will be done on a case- by-case basis. 11. Is there fresh air intakes that need to be turned off during re-roof? Who would be responsible. ANSWER: Fresh air intakes will be turned off by onsite Correctional Maintenance. 12. Some utilities/electric would need to be turned off, and moved, who is responsible for those? ANSWER: Utilities and electrical can be turned off and or moved by our Facilities Maintenance Electricians. End of Clarifying Questions #2
