ITB 2022200045 Kitchen Improvements at Whiteaker Head Start Facility Head Start has received a Community Development Block Grant from the City of Eugene for needed improvements to the Whiteaker Community Center Facility located at 21 N. Grand St in Eugene, OR. In partnership with the successful bidder, the City and Head Start intend to facilitate the project. In general, work will involve modification of walls, foundation, exterior walls, and construction of a walk-in cooler/freezer. It is intended that work will commence as soon as reasonably possible. Notice to Suppliers Pursuant to ORS 279C.365 and City of Eugene Administrative Order 44-23-01, Public Contracting Rule 137-049-0200, bids for kitchen improvements at the Whiteaker Head Start Facility will be accepted electronically by the Purchasing Office until Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 2:30 PM. Bids will be opened immediately after and publicly read aloud in a Microsoft Teams Meeting. Bids will not be accepted after the bid closing time and date. Bids shall be valid for 60 days after opening unless otherwise specified in the specifications. This Invitation to Bid does not commit the City to pay any costs incurred by any bidder in the submission of a bid. Prevailing Wage Rates This ITB is for a public improvement project which is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act 40 U.S.C. 276a. All bidders are required to consult the March 30, 2023 Davis-Bacon wage determination for Construction Type Building. Davis-Bacon wages for Lane County are included as Attachment D to the ITB and may be updated by addenda. This solicitation is not subject to Oregon BOLI Prevailing Wage Rages per exemption ORS 279C.810.2c. See above.
