Carson City Landfill Electrical Service Upgrade Project No. | P390423001 PWP No. | CC-2026-213 Engineer's Estimate $220,000 Summary The project involves replacing the existing overhead service at the Carson City Landfill with a new underground service, including a new main switchboard, step-down transformer, and distribution panel to serve existing and proposed facilities. Anticipated start date is late spring/early summer but will depend on construction material lead times. Funding This project is locally funded. BABAA This project is not subject to BABAA requirements. Type This project is deemed both a vertical and horizontal construction project. Pre-Bid Meeting This project will not conduct a pre-bid meeting. DBE | This project does not have a DBE goal, however, the City, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26, hereby notifies all bidders and proposers that it shall affirmatively ensure that in regard to any contract entered into, certified DBE/SBE firms shall be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and proposals in response to our invitation and shall not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or national origin in consideration for an award. Although there is no contract-specific goal associated, the City encourages bidders to make the same effort to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of subcontracts, to help remove barriers to the participation of DBEs/SBEs, and to assist in the development of firms that can compete successfully in the marketplace outside the DBE/SBE program.
