Description
The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the purchase of disc brake pads for North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) passenger rail cars. The intent is to establish an Agency Specific Term Contract (ASTC) for the supply of left-hand and right-hand disc brake pads on an as needed basis. The disc brake pads currently in use on NCDOT’s passenger railcars are the product of Bremskerl. All NCDOT passenger railcars are equipped with 3PM Disc Brake Units on 36-inch Class C wheels and operate up to 79 miles per hour with frequent stops.
