RENEWAL NOTICE THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION Item # 1: ( 912 - 00 ) RENEWAL NOTICE THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION: This construction contract was advertised on 7/9/21, BidBuy# 22-557THA-ENGCO-B-23620. Bids were received on 9/3/21. The contract was awarded by the Tollway Board to Walsh Construction Company II, LLC on 10/21/21 via board resolution 22326 in the amount of $214,831,567.83. The contract is set to expire on 1/15/26. The contract expiration needs to be extended due to delays with the relocation of existing utilities and issues associated with soil retention installation, such as utility conflicts, unforeseen ground conditions, obstructions, conflicts with the existing T-Wall, and subsequent redesigns of SOE components. Remaining work includes completing the railroad bridge abutments/piers, delivery and installation of structural steel girders, superstructure and retaining wall construction, and demolition of existing bridge. The Tollway will utilize the two-year renewal option prescribed in the contract. No additional funds are required.
