CHANGE ORDER NOTICE RR-16-4278 Systemwide Traffic Operation and Maint Perf Eval and Enhancement Sup 1st Amendment: This is not a solicitation. Item # 1: ( 550 - 90 ) 1st Amendment_This Design Upon Request contract was advertised in Professional Services Bulletin PSB 17-2 on 3/1/17, Bidbuy # 26-557THA-ENGCO-P88741. Selection Committee results were determined on 4/27/17. The contract was awarded to J.A. Watts, Inc. on 5/25/17 via board resolution 21282 in the amount of $2,500,000.00. This contract is set to expire on 12/31/25. Extending the DUR contract to 12/31/26 is needed because it is still actively being utilized. There is active work being performed on Task Order #14, Phase III Support Toll Plaza Construction. The associated construction contracts have been delayed by Toll Plaza building fabrication and constructability delays based on staging. This upon-request engineering contract is currently providing construction phase support for ongoing plaza improvement contracts I-24-4965 and RR-23-4900. Work for contract I-24-4965 is ongoing and is anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2026. Issuance of the notice to proceed for contract RR-23-4900 was delayed by 4 months and work for this contract is anticipated to continue through the end of 2026. Procurement of a new consultant would impact completion of these active construction contracts and incur additional delays which could affect Tolling operations and service to Tollway patrons.
