RENEWAL NOTICE: I-20-4533 RW and Bdg. Widening and Reconst. Tri-St. TW (I-294) MP 32.4 to MP 33.5 Renewal notice -: This is not a solicitation. Item # 1: ( 912 - 00 ) This construction contract was advertised on 9/21/20, BidBuy# 21-557THA-ENGCO-B-17582. Bids were received on 10/30/20. The contract was awarded by the Tollway Board to Judlau Contracting, Inc. on 12/17/20 via board resolution 22150 in the amount of $112,113,435.08. The contract is set to expire on 12/1/25. A two-year renewal is requested because the demolition of both structures, bridge construction, roadway construction, retaining wall construction, and other items are still required. Only 15% of the northbound work is completed to date. There have been delays with third-party UPRR coordination. There have been 8 claims to date with additional anticipated. Current staged traffic configuration is utilizing the southbound structures. If not completed, extended loading on the structures would reduce the lifetime of the roadway and provide extended inconvenience to users. The Tollway will utilize the two-year renewal option prescribed in the contract. No additional funds are required.
