Description

2026 Emergency Ext. Notice-Climate Bank Fed. Funds Program Administration, Implementation and Comp. Emergency Purchase Extension Notice-Climate Bank Federal Funds Program Administration, Implementation and Compliance Item # 1: ( 918 - 83 ) The emergency purchase and extensions maintain continuity of current services and prevent or minimize serious disruption in the implementation of various federal financial assistance programs that are intended to support energy efficiency and the development of clean energy resources. The immediate selection of this vendor is necessary to avoid lapsing or loss of federal funds pursuant to 44 Ill.Adm. Code 1.2030(c)(5). The Illinois Finance Authority (IFA) is in implementing or supporting the implementation of various federal financial assistance programs that are intended to support energy efficiency and the development of clean energy resources. Ambitious state decarbonization goals and anticipated changes in policy priorities at the federal level have advanced implementation timelines for these programs from months to weeks, and expediting project implementation with this vendor is essential to preserve the states access to over $800 million in federal funding. This team has played a critical role in obtaining this federal funding and has been integral to implementation efforts thus far. Accelerating these programs on an aggressive timetable will support the investment of federal funds in critical clean energy projects.
