Public Participation Plan The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking transportation and outreach consulting services to provide expertise and assistance in all aspects of project and program outreach. Item # 1: ( 918 - 24 ) 24 months Initial Term: The selected vendor will research and understand the best practices of peer agencies in regards to public outreach strategies; determining what combination of outreach strategies would be most efficient and cost-effective for the Agency based on plan goals and circumstances; working with Communications and Planning and Programming staff to develop and implement a statewide standard of public outreach processes that meet federal requirements and ensure meaningful input from the public including historically under-represented groups. 24 months Initial Term: The selected vendor will research and understand the best practices of peer agencies in regards to public outreach strategies; determining what combination of outreach strategies would be most efficient and cost-effective for the Agency based on plan goals and circumstances; working with Communications and Planning and Programming staff to develop and implement a statewide standard of public outreach processes that meet federal requirements and ensure meaningful input from the public including historically under-represented groups.
