District 5 Tree Removal District 5 Tree Removal. This procurement is for Small Business Aside Program vendors only. Item # 1: ( 968 - 88 ) District 5 requests bids for Tree removal at various locations in Champaign and Douglas counties. All trees have been marked with pink flagging and either an orange or pink "X" along with the number painted on the tree. All trees have a brief description of their location as well as Lat and Long coordinates. All trees shall be cut down, removed from the site within 8 hours, stump shall be ground down to 4" below surface, backfilled and seeded. Three days notice must be provided before removing trees located within the rest areas to allow for rest area closure. Trees must be removed by April 1st, 2026.
