Print Bid Number: #2017-4 Bid Title: Sidewalk Schedules A thru D Category: Public Works Status: Closed Description: INVITATION TO BIDDERS SIDEWALK CITY PROJECT #2017-4 Sealed proposals for furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, tools and equipment necessary or incidental to the construction of sidewalk and miscellaneous items under four separate bid schedules as follows: Schedule “A” 24,692 SF of new 4” sidewalk on West Ash and Edgerton; Schedule “B” 3,979 SF of new 4” sidewalk on South Burns; Schedule “C” 4,860 SF on new sidewalk on North Langdon and Kimball; and Schedule “D” 2,500 SF existing and new miscellaneous sidewalk. Sealed Bids will be received until 1:30 PM, on the 13th day of March 2017; by the City Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, South Dakota in the City Hall Building after which they will be publicly opened and read. Bids may be awarded by the City Council of Mitchell at their regular meeting. All proposals must be made on the blank forms prepared by the City of Mitchell and must be executed in complete accordance with the requirements contained in the "Instructions to Bidders" of the specifications. Plans and specifications are on file in the City Finance Office and may be obtained from the office of the City Engineer, 612 North Main Street, Mitchell, SD 57301 Telephone 605-995-8435. Each bid shall be addressed to the Finance Officer, 612 North Main, Mitchell, SD 57301, and marked: SIDEWALK PROJECT BID: CITY PROJECT #2017-4 A bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State and countersigned by a resident agent payable to the Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, South Dakota, must accompany the proposal as a guaranty the bidder will enter into a contract within ten (10) days after the award of the contract upon demand. Checks of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned after award of contract. Payment & Performance Bonds acceptable to the City of Mitchell in an amount of not less than the total bid price will be required of the successful bidders for the project.
