Print Bid Title: Request for Proposals for Fire Truck Lease Purchase Category: Finance Status: Closed Description: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is to solicit proposals from qualified firms to enter into a capital lease purchase agreement in the amount of $770,000 with a term of 15 years with the Town of Milton for the financing of a 2024 E-One Typhoon Engine. The Town of Milton normal business days are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and shall be closed on recognized holidays. CAPITAL LEASE PURCHASE FINANCING – 2024 E-ONE TYPHOON ENGINE The Town of Milton plans to enter into a lease purchase contract for the operating needs of the Fire Department. The Town desires to finance the capital purchase through a capital lease agreement in the amount of $770,000. Authority for capital lease purchases is contained in the Town’s approved budget, and the master lease agreement will also be approved by the Town’s Selectboard. The Town seeks a lease purchase that will be structured as a tax-exempt capital lease purchase. All lease quotations should be calculated with annual payments and must include “non-appropriation” clauses. The annual interest rate, the annual payment amount, and the total payment amount should be included in the bid. The Town also requires a no prepayment penalty option. The successful bidder will pay the vendor directly and will hold the title until the loan is paid in full. The Town requests that the proposals include a fixed rate bid that is good for 45 days from the proposal due date. The fixed rate bid is requested in order to allow sufficient time for the Office of Clerk/Treasurer to obtain the Town’s Selectboard approval of the Respondent’s fixed rate bid proposal.
