Print Bid Title: Public Works Project-Construction of Asphalt Pavement Improvements Category: Request For Proposals (RFP's) Status: Closed Description: INVITATION TO BID PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT-MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION OWNER: CITY OF EVANSTON 1200 MAIN STREET EVANSTON WY 82930 PHONE: (307) 783-6470 SEALED BIDS for construction of asphalt pavement improvements will be received by the City of Evanston at 1200 Main Street , until 2:00 pm. June 1 , 2018 at which time any and all bids received will be opened and read aloud. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for completion of the project. MATERIALS INCLUDE: Approximately, 5110 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement (HMAP), tack coat, 38 water valve grade rings, and 44 sewer manhole grade rings. WORK DESCRIPTION: Street cleaning, weed removal, and surface preparation, traffic control, placement and compaction of plant mix asphalt, adjustment of sewer manhole covers and water valve boxes. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the Department of Engineering and Planning, City Engineer; 33 Allegiance Circle, Evanston, WY 82930; Phone (307) 783-6470 upon payment of $15.00 for each set, non-refundable. Registration at the office of the City Engineer is required to receive full bidding documents and to indicate residency status. WYOMING STATE STATUTES apply to the bidding and construction of all Public Works Project(s): w.s. 15-1-1 13; 5% Bid Bond required. w.s. 16-6-102; 5% Resident Contractor Preference. w.s. 16-6-104; 5% Wyoming Materials and Suppliers Preference. w.s. 16-6-1 12; Performance Guarantee. w.s. 16-6-201 - 16-6-206; Resident Labor Preference. w.s. 27-3-502(f) Registration with taxing authority, RESIDENT PREFERENCE(S): In order to receive a five percent (5%) resident preference, resident contractors and material suppliers must be state certified and receive a certificate of residency. When obtaining project bid documents, resident contractors and suppliers must indicate their residency status by providing their residency certification number. Certified resident suppliers shall submit a list of supplies and materials, specific to the project, which qualify to receive preference along with company contact names and phone numbers. Contact information from resident suppliers shall be available to resident contractors to use in preparing bids and meeting Wyoming statutory requirements. The OWNER reserves the right to reject all bids, if the Governing Body determines that it is in the best interest of the City to do so, and reserves the right to waive any formalities as provided by law.
