Print Bid Number: BID CALL 2020-12 Bid Title: 8th Street Trailhead Project Category: Engineering Status: Closed Description: Sealed Bids for the construction of the 8TH STREET TRAILHEAD PROJECT, BID CALL 2020-12 will be received, by THE CITY OF MORGANTOWN, at the office of the FINANCE DIRECTOR in the City Municipal Building at 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505 until 2:00 P.M. local time on May 5, 2020 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. All city buildings remain closed to the public due to concerns over the COVID19 virus. The bid opening will be broadcast publicly on Comcast Channel 15. The The Project consists of constructing a connector between the dead end of Eighth Street and the Rail Trail. A two-envelope system will be used. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Envelope No. 1 must contain the Bid Bond, Power of Attorney, and all other necessary documents required on the Bid Opening Checklist. Envelope No. 2 must be a separate, sealed envelope marked "Bid Proposal" and must contain the completed and signed Bid Proposal. If the documents are not in order, the envelope containing the Bid Proposal will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. Both envelopes must have the following information in the lower left-hand corner. Name and address of Bidder, Bidder's WV Contractor's License Number, "Bid on 2020-12 8th Street Trailhead Project", City of Morgantown, 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia 26505. To be opened on May 5, 2020. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Document is: City of Morgantown Engineering Department, 389 Spruce Street, 304-284-7412 . Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents online at http://morgantownwv.gov/bids.aspx Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, by request, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $50.00 for each set. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “City of Morgantown.” Upon request and receipt of the document fee indicated above plus a non- refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
