Project Description The purpose of this project is to replace the existing 14,000 square foot membrane roof on the Morgantown Metropolitan Theatre. The roof is low slope and unballasted with internal drain lines. The project will require replacement of the existing membrane, potentially including some deck repair. The drains, flashing, walkways and ladders and related roof accessories should also be included. Improvements to insulation may also be in scope. Prior to installation of a new roof, the exhaust fans could need repairs and curbing. The A/E will be required to do on-site investigation to further determine the exact existing roof system, number of existing roof layers, and to propose a replacement plan. Additionally, current condition of decking, exhaust fans and access will need to be assessed. Current code and safety requirements will need to be met including egress, lightning protection systems, and fire classification. B. Scope of Services Upon award of the project provide the following services: Investigation and Verification, Design, Construction & Bid Documents, Construction Administration, and Construction Inspection. During construction period, provide not less than 12 hours (excluding travel time) of on-site construction inspection and administration services including (1) attendance at progress meetings, (2) a written field report of each site visit, (3) on-site representation comprised of the A/E and its consultant staff involved in the primary design of the project and in verification and answering questions of contractor.
