Print Bid Title: Two Commercial Zero Turn Mowers Category: Recreation Status: Closed Description: The City of Montpelier invites you to submit a bid on or before 10:30 AM, Nov. 1, 2017 for Two Commercial Zero Turn Mowers as specified below. SPECIFICATIONS Scag Turf Tiger II with a 61 inch deck and a 26 HP Liquid Cooled Kawasaki with Digital Fuel injection. Model #STT1161V-26DFI And Scag Turf Tiger II with a 61 inch deck and a 31 HP Liquid Cooled Kawasaki with Digital Fuel injection. The City of Montpelier, as a municipal corporation, is exempt from taxes, and taxes should be omitted from quotations. Federal Excise Exemption Certificates will be executed upon request. The successful bidder must provide a customary owner's service policy, manufacturer's warranty of parts and workmanship, and new equipment inspection service. The City Council of the City of Montpelier reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and make the award in the best interest of the City of Montpelier. The Council also reserves the right to waive any informality or technicality. Award will be made on base price only. Items listed as optional will not factor into the award. RESPONSIVE BIDDER: The determination of whether or not a bidder is ”responsive” will be determined by whether or not they meet the submission requirements provided below. Failure to fully complete the bid will render the bidder non-responsive and the bid will not be read. RESPONSIBLE BIDDER: The determination of whether or not a bid is “responsible” will be made by the City after thoroughly evaluating the bid. The bidder will return the following completed “Bid Form”, with each item completed with the actual sizes and capacities of the unit bid and the latest specifications and advertising literature of the unit bid. The City of Montpelier assumes no responsibility and no liability for costs incurred by the vendor in responding to the bid prior to issuance of an award and purchase order for the equipment being bid. The successful bidder will guarantee to provide with the unit, delivered to the Montpelier Recreation Field Garage at no additional charge, current shop manual CD-ROM covering service, parts, electrical and diagnostic information for the new unit. Should the successful bidder be unable to provide shop manuals at the time of invoicing, the City will retain One Thousand Dollars ($100) from the unit price until the manuals are presented. If the manuals are not received within thirty (30) days of invoice, the City will consider the One Hundred Dollars ($100) as a discount for the dealer being unable to provide said manuals. Bidders are hereby notified that the City of Montpelier will accept only prices guaranteed for a minimum of 60 days. Failure to guarantee the bid price could jeopardize the acceptance of future bids from bidder. Questions should be directed to Rick Lachapelle, Maintenance Foreman, 802-477-3971.
