Print Bid Title: Request for Proposals: Concrete Removal - Old City of Wayne Lagoon Berm Category: Current Bids & RFPs Status: Closed Description: Request for Proposals Concrete Removal - Old City of Wayne Lagoon Berm The City of Wayne is accepting proposals for concrete removal from its old lagoon berm located in the southeast part of the city. Proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, and likely be awarded at the Wayne City Council meeting that evening. Proposals may be mailed to the City of Wayne, Attn: Betty McGuire, City Clerk, PO Box 8, Wayne, NE 68787; submitted in person at the city offices located at 306 Pearl Street; or emailed to . The City anticipates contractors to propose 1) a monetary amount to the City for all concrete materials for contractor to keep, 2) an amount of concrete material crushed and given to the City, or 3) a combination of both 1 and 2. The City would like to see the entire berm cleaned up as soon as possible. The City anticipates the contractor using the City property at the lagoon to crush on site. The City will evaluate each proposal considering the aforementioned criteria as well as other possible creative ideas a contractor proposes. Above is a photo of the site, with the berm surrounding the lagoon. * A site visit prior to submittal is highly encouraged so contractors themselves can evaluate the quantity. Items to consider: Approximately 4,500 linear feet of concrete, depth varies* Sludge is being moved around so contractor will have ample space to crush on site if they choose Evaluation criteria: Monetary amount from contractor to City for all concrete material Amount of material crushed and given to the City (at least 3/4 inch diameter and no bigger than 2 inch diameter) Combination of criteria 1 and 2 Completion date (sooner the better) Proof of insurance Any other creative items the contractor would like the City to consider Any questions concerning the above proposal requirements, please contact Wes Blecke, City Administrator at 402-375-1733. Proof of $1,000,000 in liability insurance coverage (naming the City as an additional insured and waiving subrogation requirements) will be required before awarded contractor begins work. The City of Wayne reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
