This Project includes: PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS. PROJECT TITLE Kutztown University – Keystone Hall Renovations PROJECT LOCATION: 15200 Kutztown Rd, Kutztown, PA 19530 BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes but is not limited to complete lifecycle upgrades to building infrastructure, façade & holistic reconfiguration of the building’s interior to meet today’s student athlete needs. Update building for current athletic codes, building codes & accessibility standards.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $18,600,000.00

The PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS MEETING is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, February 21, 2024 AT 10:00 AM.
The Department of General Services Capital Programs & the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. Applicants must agree to meet SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate their Good Faith Efforts to meet Goals. Refer to project’s e-Builder solicitation folder for instructions regarding SDB/VBE participation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORTLISTED FIRMS: Interviews will be conducted with shortlisted firms. Shortlisted professionals will be notified of the date, time & location. The team that will be working on the project is expected to be present at the interview. A “Detailed Proposal” to provide: resumes for key design & management personnel with current references; firm’s approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks & scope of services explaining the approach’s value to the Commonwealth; a description from the firm’s portfolio of a project that illustrates the firm’s ability to translate design intentions into solutions that meet client expectations; an organizational chart & detailed work plan, identifying key personnel roles, tasks, disciplines, & responsibilities of the firm & consultants. Plan should be specific regarding availability including time assigned to project during design & construction. List additional resources available to supplement assignments in event of illness, resignation or other unavoidable occurrences; a description of design phase quality management, including a description of quality control activities for each deliverable, ensure interdisciplinary coordination & constructability throughout the design phase; description of relevant projects completed by lead design professional, listing key personnel & contact information for each project example; an assessment of key project issues & risks, including an assessment of schedule, budget, municipal approvals, other major issues that could be expected to be encountered & how they would be handled; identification of special investigations, studies or testing that might be anticipated; a description of how diversity will be accomplished within the team; evidence the firm is fiscally stable (credit ratings, financial audits, etc.); a list of professional liability claims and/or legal actions within the last ten years including bankruptcies, ownership changes, etc. & a non-binding fee proposal.
