Description
Construct a new water treatment system including a new wood-framed building to house filters, chlorine storage and feed system, booster pump system with hydropneumatic tank, and all electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, programming, testing and start-up for a complete and functional facility. A new water feed and backflow will be installed for filling the firewater tank. No other work is proposed to the fire tank. The existing fire pump will be disconnected from the existing power sources and generator. A new utility service to the main switchboard and new fire pump switchboard will be provided. The fire pump will have a new automatic transfer switch connected to the existing generator and new fire pump switchboard to serve the fire pump distribution panel at HEBER DUNES SVRA in Imperial County, California. Participation in Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Program (DVBE): The minimum DVBE participation percentage goal is 6%. Failure to fulfill the DVBE requirement will render your bid non-responsive. DVBE Incentive: For evaluation purposes only, an incentive will be given to bidders who exceed the 6% DVBE participation requirements. Refer to the DVBE forms beginning with DPR 479IP. Small Business Preference and Small Business Subcontractor Participation: A five percent (5%) Small Business Preference will be granted to properly certified small businesses (a completed STD 811 Form must be submitted with the bid proposal).
