Print Bid Title: Tandem Axle Snowplow, Dump Truck Chassis Category: Supplies & Materials Status: Closed Description: Sealed bids will be received by the City Council of the, City of Mitchell, 612 N. Main St., Mitchell, South Dakota, 57301, at the office of the City Finance Officer of said City until 1:30 p.m. (local time) on the 11th day of July, 2017 and then be publicly opened and read, for furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials as set forth in the specifications and performing all work, incidental thereto for Tandem Axle Snowplow, Dump Truck Chassis Copies of the Specificatio n s and other proposed contract documents are on file at the Finance Office or the A i rport and are avai l able at no cost from the latter. Bids shall be submitted i n accordance with the specifications. All bi ds shall be pl ainly marked on the outside of the envelope wi th the words ”Tandem Axle Snowplow, Dump Truck Chassis- Mitchell Regional Airport.” A Bid Surety i s required for this bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a ten per cent (10%) Bid Bond or a certified check or cash i er's check i n an amount equal to at least five per cent (5%) of the total gross bid, the same to be issued by a solvent bank authorized to operate i n South Dakota, and made payable to the Ci ty of Mitchell, South Dakota. These securi ties are to be guarantees that if the Proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered i nto by the Bi dder. Contracts awarded i n excess of $2 5 , 000 will requ i re a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond acceptable to the City Council of Mitchell, South Dakota, for one hundred per cent ( 1 00%) of the Contrac t , i n conformance w i th the requ i rements of the Contract documents. No bid may be wi thdrawn within a period of thirty (30) days after the date fixed for openi ng bi ds. Award of Contract: The right is reserved, as the interest of the City of Mitchell, South Dakota, may require, to reject any and all bids, to waive informality in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid, unless such bid is qualified by specific limitation. The bidder will certify that he and any of his subcontractors meet the requirements of 49 CFR, Part 29, regarding debarment, suspension, ineligibility and voluntary exclusion as further described in these specifications. The bidder will certify that he and his subcontractors will comply with "BUY AMERICAN CERTIFICATION (JAN. 1991)" as further noted in project specifications. The contractor will comply with "BUY AMERICAN-STEEL AND MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS FOR CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS (JAN. 1991)" as further described in project specifications. The City Council of Mitchell, South Dakota reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive i rregu l ar i t i es and accept the b i d i t deems most favorable and i n the best i nterest of the City of Mitchell after all bids have been examined .
