Duff Utility Improv. & Kimball/Hanson & Kimball/1st Valve Replacements Category: Public Works Status: Closed Description: Sealed proposals for furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, tools and equipment necessary or incidental to the construction of CITY PROJECT #2017-1 SOUTH DUFF UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS : (Schedule A) 1306 L.F. of 6” PVC Water Main, water services, 1204 L.F. of 8” PVC Sanitary Sewer, sewer services, and appurtenances. CITY PROJECT #2017-24 and #2017-25 KIMBALL/HANSON AND KIMBALL/1 ST AVENUE VALVE REPLACEMENTS : (Schedule B) 2 – 20” Gate Valves with box and 16 L.F. of 20” PVC Water Main, and appurtenances . will be received until 1:30 PM, on the 23rd day of March 2017; by the City Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, South Dakota in the City Hall Building after which they will be publicly opened and read. The City Council may award the bids at their regular meeting. All proposals must be made on the blank forms prepared by the City of Mitchell and must be executed in complete accordance with the requirements contained in the "Instructions to Bidders" of the specifications. Plans and specifications are on file in the City Finance Office and may be obtained from the office of the City Engineer, 612 North Main Street, Mitchell, SD 57301. Telephone 605-995-8435. Each bid shall be addressed to the Finance Officer, 612 North Main Street, Mitchell, SD 57301, and marked: BID FOR: 1300-1500 BLOCKS OF SOUTH DUFF WATER MAIN CITY PROJECT #2017-1 AND HANSON/ KIMBALL & 1 ST AVENUE/KIMBALL STREET VALVES REPLACEMENT COMBINED PROJECTS #2017-24 AND #2017-25 Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bank draft issued upon a National or State bank made payable at sight to the City of Mitchell, South Dakota in an amount of not less than five percent (5%), or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State and countersigned by a resident agent payable to the Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, South Dakota, must accompany the proposal as a guaranty the bidder will enter into a contract within ten (10) days after the award of the contract upon demand.
