Print Bid Title: MSAC Strategic Planning Category: MSAC Status: Closed Description: Request for Proposals: Strategic Planning Consultant The City of Montpelier Senior Activity Center (MSAC) seeks an experienced consultant for a strategic planning process between December 2017 and April 2018. The strategic planning process is part of a larger national accreditation effort through the National Institute for Senior Centers. Consultant will have as chief responsibilities: Assist with creation of interview and survey questions. (appr. 3 hr) Conduct and report on up to 10 mostly group interviews with staff, members, volunteers, instructors and other stakeholders. (appr. 20 hr) Facilitate strategic planning committee as they draft a multi-year plan (appr. 6 hr) Be available for additional tasks as requested (appr. 6 hr) Interested parties should refer to the Community Services Planning Report (available as item 12 in the City Council agenda archived for November 30, 2016) and the MSAC website (www.montpelier-vt.org/msac) for more information about the organization and recent planning. $1500 has been budgeted for this approximately 35-hour contract, and while fee is negotiable, reduced-fee or pro-bono services on behalf of this vital municipal service are most welcome. Proposal Submission Procedures Sealed Proposals must be received on or before the Due Date (Friday, December 8, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.) Bidders shall submit one (1) clearly marked original, two (2) photocopies, and one (1) electronic version (either via email or on a flash drive) of their Proposal Package. Proposals must be received in one envelope marked “PROPOSAL – Strategic Planning Consultant” and addressed to: Janna Clar Montpelier Senior Activity Center, Director 58 Barre Street, Montpelier, VT 05602 Proposal packages must include: A letter of introduction A proposed timeline for completing this effort A resume of the consultant including details on the experience of the respondent in providing similar services in the past including, if applicable, relevant experience with senior, health, recreation or educational services. Additionally, please describe in your application any past or current connection you have with MSAC or the City of Montpelier’s other services.
